The Role

Job Title: Soft Play Assistant
Location: Mini Mates, Ascot, Berkshire
Contract: Employed
Hours: Full time and part time available — weekend availability is essential

What you’ll be doing

Safety & Supervision — Monitor play areas, uphold safety standards, prevent accidents, and step in when needed to keep children safe and happy

Party Coordination — Host and organise children's birthday parties and special events, ensuring every celebration runs smoothly from start to finish

Customer Service — Greet families warmly, manage bookings, process payments, and handle enquiries with a smile

Facility Maintenance — Carry out regular cleaning, sanitising, and safety checks across the venue to uphold our high standards

Food & Beverage — Prepare and serve café refreshments in line with food hygiene regulations

What We're Looking For

Experience in leisure, hospitality, childcare, or a similar customer-facing role

Excellent communication skills and a naturally warm, friendly manner

Calm and confident under pressure in a busy environment

Basic Food Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid certificates are highly desirable

The Role

Job Title: General Manager/Team Leader
Location: Mini Mates, Ascot, Berkshire
Contract: Employed
Hours: Full time or part time hours available — weekend, school holiday and some evening availability is essential

What You'll Be Doing

Operations & Safety — Maintain impeccable hygiene and safety standards across the play structure, café and kitchen. Conduct daily risk assessments, equipment checks and ensure all safeguarding policies are followed

Team Leadership — Train, support and motivate the team. Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews, and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times

Customer Experience — Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries, feedback and escalations. Oversee group bookings and birthday parties, ensuring every celebration runs smoothly

Stock Management — Take responsibility for controlling stock levels and ordering across the venue

Part of the Team — Be willing to roll up your sleeves and support the wider team with day-to-day tasks including check-ins, cleaning duties and serving in the café

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a management or senior role, or ready for the next natural step up

A natural team leader with excellent communication skills and high energy

Friendly, approachable and confident with children and families

Reliable, organised and calm under pressure

Confident handling difficult situations, customer complaints and making decisions

Flexible and willing to work weekends, school holidays and some evenings
